Our Values

1. We are committed to Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

Martha, one of Jesus’ first disciples, said to Jesus, “Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”

See John 11:27

‘Doubting’ Thomas stopped doubting! He acknowledged Jesus: “My Lord and my God!”

See John 20:28

2. We are committed to the Bible as God's word

Two of Jesus’ most significant apostles (men who were personally trained and taught by Jesus) wrote the following:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.”

Paul in 2 Timothy 3:16

“No prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit”

Peter in 2 Peter 1:20-21

3. We are committed to evangelism

Jesus’ final commanded to his followers was this:

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:18-20

4. We are committed to one another as God's family

…through our friendship

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Hebrews 10:24-25

“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart

1 Peter 1:22

…through our prayer

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message”

Colossians 4:2-3

“I thank my God every time I remember you. 4In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy.”

Philippians 1:3-4

…through our serving

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others..”

1 Peter 4:10

“There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.”

1 Corinthians 12:5

…through our giving

“Each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income.”

1 Corinthians 16:2

“Remember this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

2 Corinthians 9:6
