Why read Christian books?  Answer:  "To know, to grow, to lead, to love"
To know God and ourselves better through what other people have learned and have written for us
To grow in our walk with the Lord Jesus and in becoming more like him
To lead: to be equipped for whatever area of life in which we lead others

To love other people through recommending books that may speak into their lives

We read a wide range of books at Book Buzz and it's always lovely to share what we learn from each book and encourage one another.

Do come, even if you haven't had time to read the book.  We always have some delicious food and in the words of C.S.Lewis, "Eating and reading are two pleasures that combine admirably."

Christianity Explored

Date:
22 January 2018

Christianity Explored is an informal 8-week course for people who'd like to investigate Christianity, or just brush up on the basics. Looking at Mark's gospel, it explores who Jesus is, why he came and what it means to follow him.

You won't be asked to pray, sing or read aloud, and you can ask any questions you like. Or, if you prefer, you can just come along and listen. Don't worry if you have missed the start as we will organise another one for you.

The evening starts at 8pm. At  8.15 there is a brief introduction we would put on a 20 minute DVD episode after this there is an opportunity for people to ask questions.  No question is too simple. Everything is open for discussion.
